Omeo Dance Inc. was founded in 2001 to support the choreographic research, productions and touring of dancer/choreographer Rosalind Crisp and her collaborators.

The organisation was based at Omeo Dance studio, Sydney, which Rosalind founded in the Newtown flour mill in 1996.

In 2002 Rosalind was invited to Paris by Michel Caserta, where she became associate artist of Atelier de Paris-Carolyn Carlson for ten years. The Atelier co-managed her French sister association Omeo Dance until the end of 2012.

Rosalind returned to live in East Gippsland, Australia in 2013. Since then Omeo Dance Inc. is once again the administrative and production base for Rosalind's solo and collaborative projects in regional Victoria and the company’s tours, exchanges, labs and workshops with her network of local, national and international artists, venues, festivals and partners.

In 2015 the French Ministry of Culture awarded Rosalind Crisp a Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres (Dame of the Arts).
